I believe Christianity is true because Jesus rose from the dead. The Apostle Paul said that if the resurrection didn’t really happen that we shouldn’t believe in Christianity.
The historical accounts of the resurrection demand an explanation. The best one is that God raised Jesus from the dead. Therefore Christianity is true.
There are over 400 prophecies in the Old Testament which point to the coming Messiah and to His life and death. Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled every single one of them. The odds of someone doing that who was not the Messiah are too great to even figure. It is impossible.
Isaiah 7:14 says, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel.” Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary.
Micah 5:2: “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of there shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old; from everlasting.” Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
Also prophesied were events like John the Baptist preparing the way, Jesus teaching in Capernaum and Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a colt.
Psalm 41:9 even foretells Judas’ betrayal, “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.” And Zechariah 11:12 perfectly predicts the payment Judas would receive, “And I said unto them, if ye think good, give me my price thirty pieces of silver.”
Jesus’ death on the cross was prophesied to the smallest detail. Isaiah 53 spoke of His sacrificial death paying the price for the sins of all. Psalm 109:25 tells that He would be mocked by those who watched. Psalm 34:20 records the miracle that would happen when none of His bones were broken. Psalm 22:18 says that people would gamble for possession of His clothing. Psalm 31:5 contains the words that Jesus said when He committed His spirit into His Father’s hands. Isaiah 53:12 says that He would plead for the forgiveness of those who persecuted Him. Amos 8:9 records the darkness that would follow the death of the Messiah. To find evidence that Jesus fulfilled all of these prophecies, read the gospel accounts of His life and death.
As I said, there are over 400 prophecies that Jesus perfectly fulfilled. This evidence of His Lordship is indisputable.
Christ died and rose again to save my soul from hell. God has kept his promises since the beginning of time, and he continues to keep them today. The faith of Christians is what keeps the spirit alive.
I know that Christianity cannot be false, because there is no logic or reasoning that can be made that is infallible that proves otherwise. I have faith in my risen Savior, and nothing can shake that.
All historical and archiological evidence confirms the accuracy of the details relayed in scripture of the events and places described. Scientific evidence more proves than counters the evidence of God. The proof of Jesus changing the lives of those who truly trust in Him is obvious, and truthfully, He’s the only thing that really makes sense. I challenge any who are on the fence or don’t believe to read a book like “The Case for Christ” and attend this event. Whether you believe or not is the most important decision you’ll ever make. He changed my life and will change yours if you let Him!
1) You cannot prove the bible incorrect. To all of those who believe it’s false, it’s better safe than sorry.
2) Look around you. Look outside. Look at the birds of the air, the flowers, and the trees.. look at them down to the smallest detail… and you’re telling me that all of this happened by pure chance? Yeah right. Okay, so who or what created all of this? And how could this have happened by pure chance? You cannot tell me modern science has an answer.. because it doesn’t. Only THEORIES!! .. No absolute answer.. always maybes.
3) Jesus touched my life, and lives around me. I have seen Him at work… I can feel his touch, I know His voice, and I want to draw closer to Him. I’ve seen prayers answered, people saved, cancer healed, with no explanation for it…. I’ve seen people I love go to heaven, and know for sure, that they have seen the father’s face… and I have recieved the peace that comes with that. My life was saved because HE has a purpose for me… in the midsts of all these troubles. In the midsts of all of this, He has and is santicifing me for His purpose.
4) Nothing in the Bible is contradictory, if read *in context*. Think about it… the Bible was written over thousands of years… and some people think it’s by chance? by chance all of this came together? by chance that there is evidence outside of the Bible, for instance probable evidence of things that actually happened in the Bible? NO WAY! The Bible is deff. a heads up, to everyone in the world. God even knew that some would resist. Nothing has been proven false that is within it. The Bible is the living Word of God…. it is our love letter from Him.
I believe Christianity is true because God’s Word is true. As a child I was taught to believe it was true by people that I loved and trusted, people who were faithful to live out the truths in the Bible. As a teen I chose to embrace that faith on my own, to exercise those truths and principles in my own life. Having lived 50-some years now, I have witnessed that God’s Word is true as it speaks to marriage, raising children, finances, relationships, work ethic, and many other issues. That serves to confirm to me that all the rest is true as well. Jesus is God’s Son and the Savior of the world, and my personal relationship with him is true – a living, daily interaction that I cannot deny.
I believe Christianity is true because I personally follow Christ and he is guided me and my life even when I didn’t think I deserved it. He is my friend, even though I can not see him, he speaks to me and clears paths for me that only someone supernatural could have done. With the faith that I have in Jesus, I just know that I know that I know. I believe that if you open your heart and fully give your life to God, he will show you miracles so that you don’t have to question a thing, you will just know.
I have found Christianity to be true for the following reasons:
1) Jesus Christ was indeed a historical figure who was crucified and buried.
2) There is an empty tomb where they buried Him.
3) He claimed He would rise from the dead and is the only one in history to accomplish such.
4) The Bible has been used to discover ancient cities, find ancient artifacts and has never had one single word disproven.
5) Jesus Christ really did change my life by radically changing my thinking my behavior and my outlook on life.
6) I believe Christianity to be true based on empiral truths, natural truths and experiential truths demonstrated in my life.
I know that Christianity is true. I know it because I have had the witness of the Holy Spirit confirm it to me in my mind and in my heart. I really can’t explain how…… It is something that can only be felt……… After deep soul-searching, scripture study, prayer, and fasting to know if He really is there and if He loves me, God made it known to me through the Spirit in an unforgettable way that the words of those ancient prophets are true, and that if I would follow their teachings in faith I would be led in the only sure path of true happiness and spiritual safety. I had no idea that I could ever be so sure of something that so many people are confused about. But the truth is…….my worries and doubts have been completely wiped away. I don’t feel empty like I used to, and when I remember when I used to feel so spiritually lost, now I just smile in complete wonder at God’s all-encompassing love and care for those who genuinely want to know Him. I am still amazed. I can now say that I truly do know that God is real. He lives. And Christ, His Son, lives as well. We must all come unto Him if we are to have any hope of happiness after this life. That knowldege has completely changed my understanding of God’s plan for me and has filled my life with peace, joy, and purpose.
Our Lord and Savior tells us that His word is truth in John 17:17! I can’t deny the change in me that was explained in John 3:3 and 2 Corinthians 5:17! Thank you Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of my sins, giving me a new heart and making me alive through your resurrection!
There is countless biblical, and historical proof that Christianity is true! However until you have experienced the power of God(Jesus) you will not truely know. I know Jesus, and Christianity is real because of his effect on my life. It wasn’t counseling, a tragic accident, a death in the family, or anything else that people account the change of a man to. It was solely God. No one could change me from the filthy person that I was except Jesus alone! Be Blessed!!!
I believe Christianity is true. All my life when i have needed help i have felt God’s presence. I feel as if the people who do not believe in Jesus is just because they are not educated enough. Some believe that why would God do bad things? I say read 1 Peter 1:6-7. And for all the people who say “how do you know?” i tell them to go home and pray to God to show himself, and something always happens. For those who say “I cannot believe the bible because some many people say stuff was added to it throughout years.” I say “stuff has been added to the scriptures before it was known as the bible, it is what God wanted to catch your attention.”
How could you believe in anything else? To not believe is almost ignorance and to deny the existence of Jesus Christ and the validity of the Bible is pure ignorance.
I know Christianity is true because Christ lives within me giving me hope and strength. I can tell a difference on the days that I do not take time to pray and read his word even though he never leaves me I can feel His presence when I am alone with Him. How can you not believe? Just look around.
Christianity is true. To begin, with Christianity it is assumed that you believe in God. To be atheist invites too many tough, frankly unexplainable questions like how the universe became so complex from hardly anything at all and why humans are overly endowed with logic, reason, emotion, and a sense of purpose. So, given that we are theists, we must then decide which religion (if any) is the right one. If you take a brief look at just about every religion, you will see that they are all similar in ways and all have some truth. Christianity, Buddhism, Mandaen all preach a set of morals that say, basically, to love other people. The difference that sets Christianity apart is not necessarily the teaching, but the Teacher. Jesus is the only “prophet” to claim to be God and raise from the dead. But just because the Bible says he rose from the grave and He claims to be God doesn’t mean we should believe Him. Anybody can make a claim. So now we have to look at the truth value of the document that records Jesus’ claim: the Bible. Research will tell anyone that looks that the Bible has more archeological, historical, and scientific support than literary books used to teach students in schools.
All this information (the information discussed in my response, not my response itself) isn’t 100% ‘the only logical conclusion’ because if it were, then everyone who heard it would either have to believe it or blatantly choose ignorance to obvious reality. Our belief in Christianity takes a good measure of faith. Faith that the Bible is true without absolute evidence, faith that God does exist, and faith that Jesus did raise from the dead.
Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.
-C. S. Lewis
Jesus changed my heart.
I believe Christianity is true because Jesus rose from the dead. The Apostle Paul said that if the resurrection didn’t really happen that we shouldn’t believe in Christianity.
“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
-C.S. Lewis
